Since it is my birthday I figured that television would
be the perfect way to celebrate it. Live in SVT I sang two
of my favourite songs for the whole Riksdagen at their
opening, with the entire Royal Family as guests among many
others. I don't know about the singing skills of these
politicians, they sure did not start to sing Happy Birthday
to me, but that is perfectly all right. Later on this day
Adolf Fredriks flickkör, probably the best girl choir in
Sweden, sang to me as angels from the high heavens.

What a wonderful June. I recieved a scholarship from my
own people, via the sami organization SSR during their
meeting in Arjeplog (by the way the most beautiful town in
north). The prize was handed out by chairman Per Gustav
Idivuoma and I felt tears in the corner of my eye when he
read the motivation they'd written. Olu giitu!

Du gamla, du fria... I sang in the most swedish place
in Sweden - Skansen in Stockholm - wearing the sami
costume, of course. I also sang Irene, that was fun.
Because of the swedish national day today, TV 4 broadcast
from Skansen with one hour show with the royal family as
special guests among many others.

Wow! Lions club of Sweden handed me a cultural
scholarship of 25 000 kr May 21st, in Umeå. I felt really
honored, espacially since this club does so much charitable
activities for people arround the world. I like!

recorded. Director is talented Liselotte Wajstedt

hair studio in Kiruna did some really cool rockabilly
styling. The shooting took place along the road E10 next
to Torneträsk in Gabna čearru, north of Sweden. A classy
cadillac, red painted lips and some cool band members on
the wide open lake Torneträsk - there you have the
plot.

November 8th 2006 Sofia got the honor to receive the
Gevalia Music Award 2006 of 50 000 kr. The prize is given
to "a young talent who is on the verge of a breakthrough in
the music life of Sweden". The ceremony took place in the

if this wasn’t enough she also got the great honor to
receive the Rubus Arcticus Konst- och
kulturstipendium of 100 000 kr for her music,
handed out by Norrbottens läns landsting November 15th

During the autumn of 2006 she has been hosting a music show
in Swedish radio. Listen to Máilbmi Sundays at
18.00 in channel P2.
She also hosted the international song contest Liet-Lávlot,
which this year was set in Östersund on October the 14th.
The event was broadcasted live in radio, channel P2, and
filmed for tv, The Swedish Broadcasting network’s (SVT’s)
Veckans konsert.
In October 2006 there was a mini tour in Västerbotten and
